Exercise Programs

“Moving for quality of life as it is now, and toward the future.”

Exercise is a great way to maintain your physical health during treatment. Many studies show that exercise can reduce the side effects and improve well-being during treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

SolarisCare in collaboration with local gymnasiums offers cancer patients access to a specialised exercise program, ‘The Chemo Club’.

This is a free exercise program for cancer patients currently undergoing chemotherapy, and other cancer treatments.

Studies have shown exercise can benefit patients undergoing treatment by:

  • Improving energy levels
  • Reducing cancer-related fatigue
  • Improve physical health to support intake of cancer treatment
  • Empowering
  • Social benefits
  • Confidence

Qualified physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, tailor each training program to the needs of the individual, during the exercise sessions.
