WORKPLACE GIVING

A little contribution each pay makes a world of difference to cancer patients and carers.

Workplace Giving is a simple yet powerful way for employees to assist SolarisCare in delivering integrated care to cancer patients in Western Australia. More and more businesses are offering workplace giving to their employees as it demonstrates to employees and customers that your business is community minded and committed to supporting initiatives that benefit those who need it most.

Workplace Giving donations are deducted from your employees' salary before tax is applied, thus reducing taxable income. Furthermore, because donations are made pre-tax, it only costs each employee 52 cents for every dollar they pledge*, The Australian Taxation Office pays the balance.
* based on a marginal tax rate of 48.5%

BEQUESTS

Bequests are a wonderful way to assist the Centre to continue its work and to develop more services to help more people. There are a number of ways in which you could help, such as:

  • Giving a gift of money
  • Leaving the residue of your estate. After provision for family and friends, you may like to make provision to leave the remainder of your estate or a share of it to the Centre.
  • Giving a gift in your memory. If you have already made a will there is no need to completely re-write it in order to add in a provision for a gift to the Centre. Your solicitor will be able to advise you further.

“We should all be thankful for angels - they do exist - they are here at Solaris!!"
