Program Of Therapies
Complementary therapies are those treatments, interventions and supports that are given alongside mainstream medical care. They aim to support and enhance a person’s quality of life through improving their well being.
Many complementary therapies are traditionally accepted by doctors because they can help people feel better and cope better with their mainstream cancer treatment.
The complementary treatments service at SCGH Centre is open to all Cancer patients and their Carers in WA. People using the services at the SCGH Centre don’t need to be patients in SCGH.
The SJOG centre at Subiaco, a private hospital, is open only to patients at SJOG centre and their families and carers.
Due to the demand for services it is best if you phone to make an appointment. Please arrive 30 minutes early for your first appoinment so you have time to fill out the paperwork. Therapists are available to visit the wards and outpatients clinics.
