SolarisCare Foundation Cancer Support
Although excellent resources have long been available to treat cancer medically, Dr David Joske (Head of Haematology at SCGH), recognised that the emotional and supportive care needs of cancer patients and their families were often overlooked. The SolarisCare Cancer Support Centres were created from this understanding, providing drop in centres at major hospitals where cancer patients could receive FREE support, information, advice and access to safe and supervised complementary therapies that would support their mainstream treatment.

Red Sky Ride
Twenty-two dedicated cyclists tested their physical and mental endurance over 800 kilometres in eight days to raise funds for the SolarisCare Foundations' Cancer Support Centres. On Sunday 8th March, the Red Sky Riders arrived in Forrest Place at 11:00am, successfully completing their grueling journey across regional Western Australia. Over $250,000 was raised as a result of their efforts.
