Hands-on for Carers
| Giving a simple hand massage to the person we care for is a wonderful way to help them feel relaxed and comforted. Massage can also help to relieve dry skin, improve circulation and soothe swollen hands. Come along, meet with other Carers over a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the experience of learning how to give a hand massage. |

Men In The Kitchen
Men in the Kitchen provides an opportunity for men (aged under 50 years) who have lost their wives to cancer in the last twelve months. It is a place to share experiences, learn some kitchen skills, and share a meal. SolarisCare provides a supportive environment, a place for empathy, to help rebuild lives, dreams and identities.
Mark Lee, who has many years of Chef experience, will present kitchen skills for Series 2. There will be demonstrations, recipes and practical skills for preparing nutritious and satisfying meals. Mark will coach participants for one signature dish each week; participants will prepare and share the meal. The group will have a maximum of eight participants, so please book early for your place.
Anna Petterson will be co-facilitator.
Venue: SolarisCare Cancer Support Centre at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. E Block entry and follow the SolarisCare signs.
Date: June 18th & 25th July 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd
